Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 went on sale in Europe last week and became the fastest-selling tablet since the iPad 2 when it launched in Europe.
But Samsung now must remove Galaxy Tab 10.1 from shelves and it must also stop marketing it because The Regional Court of Dusseldorf has granted Apple a preliminary injunction against the sale and marketing of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 across all of Europe except the Netherlands.
Samsung can appeal against the judgment, the injunction will still stand in the meantime. This comes days after Samsung was forced to delay launch of the device in Australia after Australian Federal Court to ban sales of the Samsung’s tablet in the country, accusing Samsung of infringing 10 of its patents, including the “look and feel” and the touchscreen technology use in its iPad, said Apple lawyer Steven Burley.
